A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes place smack dab in between Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. In George R. R. Martin’s books, the events of the Tourney at Ashford take place about 80 years after Rhaenyra’s (Emma D’Arcy) bloody civil war for the Iron Throne and about a century before Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) brings dragons back to life.
