Snowboard superstar Shaun White may be done with competing, but he isn’t yet done with the Olympic Winter Games.
Four years after his retirement, the 39-year-old three-time Olympic gold medallist is switching things up and returning to Milano Cortina 2026 as an expert commentator and Olympic tourist.
White will lend his expertise to NBC’s coverage of his sport in the United States, while also stopping by a host of different disciplines and events, including the Opening Ceremonies.
“This is all an exciting time for me, from announcing and being a part of the Olympics in this new way,” White told Olympics.com in an exclusive interview, discussing his new roles.
“I am excited to take it all in. See the different events like ice skating, skiing, half pipe, big air, obviously snowboarding. I’m just going try to see everything honestly, that’s my goal.”
