“WWE Raw” keeps its international momentum rolling this Monday, Jan. 26, as Toronto, Ontario hosts the night of action inside Scotiabank Arena. With championship implications and returns stacked onto the card, “Raw’s” Canadian stop figures to play a pivotal role as the road to WrestleMania 42 continues to accelerate.

The night’s in-ring centerpiece comes in the form of a high-stakes four-way tag-team showdown, as The New Day, Alpha Academy, Los Americanos and American Made collide in a World Tag Team Championship No. 1 contender match. With a future title opportunity hanging in the balance, the bout promises chaos and plenty of urgency from all four teams jockeying for position in the scattered “Raw” tag division.

Star power also stretches beyond the ring, with the tag match being the only known match today. AJ Styles is advertised to appear, giving the Toronto crowd a chance to hear from — or possibly see action from — one of the all-time greats for the potential last time. He’ll enter the arena fresh off his victory over Shinsuke Nakamura at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The show also marks the highly-anticipated return of Bron Breakker, whose explosive rise has been one of WWE’s most closely-watched developments. Breakker’s return looks to progress his storyline with “Raw” general manager Adam Pearce, setting the stage for whatever comes next in Breakker’s ongoing ascent.

Lastly, Gunther sits down for a special interview segment before his match with Styles at Saturday’s Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Styles goes to the apron, looking for the Phenomenal Forearm. On the jump up, Punk knocks Styles off balance. They trade strikes until Styles’ Pele Kick finishes the exchange. The challenger looks for Styles Clash again, Punk muscles up for a GTS, but can’t get it. They’re searching for their moves until Balor, of all people, attacks to give Punk the DQ win. So much for that face turn. What an awful, lackluster end and match. Everything about that did not work.

Punk hits a GTS outside the ring! Styles just barely beats the count, and Styles takes his time to recover once in the ring, playing possum with a roll-up into the Styles Clash! Punk kicks out!

They battle to the top rope, with Styles looking for the Superplex. Punk fights it off, Flapjacking Styles, and hits the elbow drop. He locks on the Anaconda Vice! Styles fights it off, goes for a roll-up, then bridges out of position to nearly set up the Styles Clash. Punk forces him into the corner to escape.

The crowd is very dead for this match.

A hard Irish Whip launches Styles into the turnbuckle. Punk hits a neckbreaker, following it with his vintage corner knee-Bulldog combo. Instead of the GTS, Punk hit a Shining Wizard. Styles kicks out. He sets up the GTS, but Styles escapes to fire off a flurry of strikes, including his slide forearm. Punk gets hold of him in motion for a Ripcord Clothesline. Punk goes for the GTS, but Styles catches it and counters with a Ushi Goroshi.

Styles looks like he’s really taking this moment in. It really does feel like the end is near, folks.

They lock up, and I notice Punk is wearing the William Regal-Bryan Danielson colors. Technical exchanges start the match. Styles catches Punk with a big shoulder kick and almost gets hit with the GTS. Styles reverses, going for the Calf Crusher. Punk reverses, looks for Anaconda Vice, and gets rolled into a pin. Punk kicks out and locks on the headlock. A pair of elbow drops halt Styles’ momentum. Punk headlocks him again, as Styles tries to elbow his way out, only to get dropped again. Punk hits an Atomic Drop, then gets drop-kicked out of the ring. A sliding knee meets Punk for good measure.

Of course, that surprise had to get spoiled, too. Femi’s big main roster debut. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Alright, here we go. Back-to-back banger main event world title defenses to close out “Raw.” There were some moments where WWE sold tickets on a Balor win last week. This time, I kind of hope they pull the trigger, just add some madness to everything before WrestleMania 42. Either way, prepare for a good one.

Vaquer approached Pearce backstage to make that match for next week’s “Raw.” Let this be the end, man. Vaquer is already entering a Tiffany Stratton-type reign.

Otis hits the Caterpillar on Julius before all the teams break up the pin. Tozawa starts swinging strikes at all of them, hitting a double DDT on Julius and Kingston. A snap German Suplex connects on Bravo. Tozawa just starts flying, suicide diving into American Made. Tozawa goes to the top rope, but Grayson Waller knocks him off before Otis gets back in the ring to hit Kingston with a spinning back elbow. The Creeds go on the offensive, but Otis counters and tags in Tozawa, who climbs back to the top rope to hit a massive Senton Bomb on Julius for the win! Well, how about that? Alpha Academy just picked up their first win in like… two years?

The New Day is in control after the commercial. The former champs work over Tozawa, seeking a double-team Electric Chair Flip-type move, but Tozawa gets the knees up on Kingston to allow the Americanos to tag in for Woods. Julius tags his way in — I think. These matches always get very difficult to keep track of who’s legal and who’s not. Either way, Otis gets the tag from Tozawa and starts cleaning shop.

Bravo and Kingston start the match by trading athleticism with Monkey Flips. Julius Creed quickly gets tagged in, going after the Americanos. All the teams quickly pile outside, allowing for a Brutus Ball from Brutus. American Made is already looking strong after being sidelined for who knows how long.

Balor demands a spot in the Rumble match, but Pearce tells him it’s full. Well, OK. I don’t know about that, especially after The Vision was literally just “added.”

Balor then runs into Morgan, who tells him Punk wasn’t being genuine and that Judgment Day is his family.

Four-way tag team action coming up next. Jey Uso — without Jimmy — made his entrance before the teams, as he’ll surely be on commentary. The winners here feel obvious, after Otis and Tozawa spoke to Uso last week, but we’ll see. Expect a wild one while it lasts. The winners get title shots.
