Formula One great Michael Schumacher, who has been bedridden since his 2013 ski accident, has reportedly made significant health progress, an explosive report has claimed.

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is reportedly no longer bedridden, as he has made significant health progress, reports in England have claimed. The seven-time F1 champion Schumacher has been bedridden ever since a ski accident in Méribel, France, in December 2013.

Due to the brain injury, Schumacher was in a coma for a few days before waking up as he was admitted to a hospital in Lausanne. He was later moved to his residence in Gland, Switzerland. The racing legend has not been seen in public since then.

He lives under constant medical supervision at his home and under the care of his wife, Corinna.

But the Daily Mail reports that after over a decade of being bedridden, Schumacher is now able to sit in a wheelchair. Journalist Jonathan McEvoy visited Schumacher’s house in Las Brisas, near Andratx (Mallorca), where he is currently living.

McEvoy reported that Schumacher was able to sit in a wheelchair and visit inside the £30million property. However, he is unable to communicate with people around him and his understanding of his surroundings is also limited.

“The feeling is he understands some of the things going on around him, but probably not all of them,” a source told Daily Mail.

The report added that Schumacher is currently in Mallorca on a holiday with a large medical team, and his £50m house in Gland remains his main base.

“Aged 57, he cannot walk. He is, instead, pushed around the mansion in a wheelchair by nurses and therapists, part of a round-the-clock medical retinue that costs tens of thousands of pounds a week,” the report said.

“Though the Schumachers regularly stay in Majorca, their Balearics retreat is not their main base, I am reliably told. Their main residence remains their £50m house in Gland, Switzerland, a town of some 13,000 on the banks of Lake Geneva.”

It has also been claimed that the news of Schumacher attending his daughter’s wedding in 2024 was fake, as the former driver remains completely away not only from public glare but also from family functions.
