This week’s episode of Call Her Daddy is a special one — and it features a special guest.
In Alex Cooper Presents: A Grammy’s Special (airing Jan. 28), the podcast host sits down with BLACKPINK singer Rosé, who introduces her to a popular Korean cocktail called Somaek (beer mixed with a shot of Soju).
The full special includes Alex Cooper visiting Rosé in Asia for a sit-down interview that takes them to various locations, including a cafe in Seoul, a traditional Pocha lunch, Rosé’s recording studio (reinvented as a Call Her Daddy set), a karaoke stall and a lounge in Tokyo.
The episode is in honor of Rosé, who received three historic Grammy nominations for the upcoming 68th Annual Grammy Awards for her hit song “APT.” with Bruno Mars: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, making her the first K-pop soloist to be nominated in the general fields. (She also earned a fourth nomination for her song “Messy” on F1 the Album.)

Cooper previously teased Rosé’s appearance on the podcast in an Instagram teaser shared on Jan. 26, showing a busy street alongside a single pink rose. “GUESS WHO,” the caption teased, while Cooper hyped fans in the comments, writing, “I promise ur not ready for what we did 🤭.”

In November, Cooper launched a special episode in partnership with ABC in which Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt of Dancing with the Stars performed their final freestyle, and in September, also in partnership with ABC, Taylor Frankie Paul was announced as the next star of The Bachelorette during an exclusive reveal.
While Call Her Daddy covers a wide range of topics in typical podcast fashion, Cooper has become known for her tell-all interviews with Hollywood’s A-listers.

In June 2021, Cooper and Spotify made a three-year deal worth more than $60 million in total, per Variety, which makes it the streaming platform’s biggest exclusive deal for a female-led podcast ever.
“I want to be the biggest podcast in the world,” Cooper revealed to the Wall Street Journal.
In 2023, Cooper and her husband Matt Kaplan launched the Unwell Network, which is home to Madeline Argy‘s Pretty Lonesome and Harry Jowsey‘s Boyfriend Material.
During a December 2024 conversation with PEOPLE, the podcaster-turned-media-mogul shared some advice for those looking to make it as an entrepreneur, saying not to get “sidetracked.”
“Don’t try to do a million things at once,” she said. “If you focus on the one thing that you are educated on, and you are essentially a savant in, then just focus on that and trust your gut because trying to appease everyone is not going to get you anywhere.”
The full Call Her Daddy episode with Rosé will air Jan. 28 at 5 a.m. ET.
