A fur coat, cropped tank, and low-rise capris? Tyla’s latest street-style look took us back to the early aughts.

In the French capital for the Valentino Haute Couture show, where she sat front row in a one-shoulder beaded minidress and a little sapphire-blue scarf, Tyla brought along her signature blend of itty-bitty garments, loud accessories, and retro silhouettes. And, bringing Y2K into 2026, she borrowed some style cues from Britney Spears, putting together a more-is-more ensemble that played with proportion, color, and texture all at once.
On top, the star layered a fluffy oversize fur coat over a ribbed white tank, rolled up at the hem to reveal her sparkling diamond belly ring and nearly a foot of torso. She paired the pieces with low-rise denim capris, designed with a skinny silhouette, treated with a worn-in feel, and finished with contrasting top-stitching in white. She left the button undone for a casual, effortless look.

Her accessories, likewise, were about as 2000s as they come. In addition to her crystallized hot-pink cap—a Y2K style statement revamped for the current day courtesy of celebrity-favorite designer Ruslan Baginskiy—Tyla pulled out large hoop earrings, a chunky statement necklace, and lacy Valentino Garavani rockstud pumps. In her hand, she carried a beige bag, also from the Italian fashion house, crafted from glossy and matte leather in a chevron-patterned patchwork.
The “Chanel” singer’s cheeks were blushed with a hot pink that matched her cap—sealing the playful, vibrant look.
