For the first time since 2009, Norwegian black metal outfit Old Man’s Child has been busy working on a new full-length studio effort. It wasn’t enough that their sudden reunion and inclusion in various festivals sparked fans’ interest after being away for so long. Now, with Galder having exited Dimmu Borgir back in 2024 to focus on Old Man’s Child, it seems like that’s all coming together, as he teased some of the new material.

In a post on his Instagram, Galder shared a little bit of new music with fans. In addition to the music, he posted the following:

“Every OMC album is different from eachother and the next will be no exemption. The next album will have a bit of it all from the fastest I have ever made to more melodic and atmospheric stuff. Here’s a little demo taste of one I just finnished, its kind of a slow oddball but need that too. Been very busy last year but working hard now to finnish everything up, just need a song or two more and some final tweaking. And then start to work on lyrics. Maybe post some more teasers later.:)”

As you can hear from the clip below, it sounds damn good. We can only imagine what the final product will sound like when it’s all done. All we gotta do now is wait for more…
