Actress AJ Raval has opened up about one of the most heartbreaking and transformative chapters of her life—giving birth to her son Aljur Jr. with partner Aljur Abrenica.
In a Facebook post dated January 30, 2026, AJ shared the emotional and frightening experience of delivering her son prematurely in 2024, revealing that his condition at birth was so critical they nearly lost him.
AJ shared the emotional details just weeks after publicly confirming in November 2025 that she and Aljur already have three children together.

Alongside photos of newborn Aljur Jr., AJ recounted the events of June 2, 2024, the day she brought him into the world.
AJ wrote: “He was born premature a blue baby. In the delivery room for a moment we lost him I did not know what to do.”
The medical team immediately recognized how serious the situation was.
According to AJ, her doctors told her that his condition was critical and that he needed to be transferred to another hospital for more advanced care.
“His lungs were not fully developed,” she recalled.
“The doctors said his condition was critical and that he needed to be transferred to another hospital.”
AJ continued, “I was scared all I could do was pray. I did not ask God for answers or explanations. I asked for one thing only a life extension for my baby.
“I saw the doctors performing CPR to revive my baby. After that I do not remember anything I lost consciousness.

“When I woke up in the recovery room the first thing I did was ask for my baby. The doctor told me he was in the NICU.
“We did not get to be together right away. He stayed in the ICU for days and all we could do was wait.”
Baby Aljur Jr. stayed in the NICU for days while his parents waited, prayed, and held onto hope.
The silence and uncertainty of those days, AJ said, weighed heavily on them.
She wrote in her post, “Those days were heavy and quiet. In that waiting I realized there was only one thing to hold on to God.”
The experience, she shared, changed her profoundly.
“That experience changed me in ways I cannot explain,” AJ expressed.
“When you come that close to losing someone you realize how small everything else is. What truly matters is life love and the people God entrusts to us.”

AJ ended her post with a reminder to treasure every breath and every heartbeat, shaped by her newfound understanding of life’s fragility.
“So appreciate every breath every moment every heartbeat. Because when life shows you how fragile it is you learn to be thankful for everything.
