Lehigh Valley Health Network has opened its first neighborhood hospital in the Poconos, expanding emergency and acute care access for residents in central Monroe County.

LVH–Pocono Creek, located at 1328 Golden Slipper Road in Bartonsville, began operations as a 24-hour, licensed and accredited acute care facility. The approximately 22,000-square-foot hospital is designed to provide rapid patient assessment through its full-service emergency room, with the goal of reducing wait times and streamlining admissions.

The facility marks the third neighborhood hospital for LVHN, which is part of Jefferson Health. It joins existing locations in Macungie and Gilbertsville. A fourth neighborhood hospital is planned for Hellertown in Northampton County, with an anticipated opening in early 2027.

“Establishing neighborhood hospitals is part of our mission to give our communities more health care options than ever before and to make those options easier to use and reach,” said Baligh Yehia, president of Jefferson Health.

The hospital includes a comprehensive radiology suite and laboratory for on-site diagnostic testing. Adjacent to the hospital, Health Center at Pocono Creek offers additional services including HNL Lab Medicine, Lehigh Valley Physician Group cardiology and family medicine, cardiac and vascular testing, adult physical therapy, and outpatient imaging.

Holly Badali, president of Neighborhood Hospitals for LVHN, emphasized the facility’s importance for the area. “Medical emergencies come without warning. For those living and working in communities and neighborhoods in central Monroe County, LVH–Pocono Creek and Health Center at Pocono Creek will be invaluable,” she said.
