The group BTS’s 5th studio album ‘Arirang (ARIRANG)’ has surpassed 3 million pre-saves on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify, as announced by their agency Big Hit Music on the 4th.

‘Arirang’ recorded 1 million pre-saves just two days after the start, and on the fourth day, it exceeded 2 million, showing a steep upward trend.

Considering the current growth trend, the industry is focused on whether it can surpass the all-time highest pre-save record of 6 million held by pop star Taylor Swift’s 12th album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’.

‘Arirang’ has ranked No. 1 on the ‘Global Countdown Chart’, which aggregates pre-save figures for upcoming albums and singles, for two consecutive weeks, proving its global interest.

Meanwhile, on HYBE’s fan platform Weverse, there has been a phenomenon where the number of paid membership subscribers has surged nearly threefold since the announcement of BTS’s new album release and world tour.

BTS’s 5th studio album ‘Arirang’ will be officially released at 1 PM on the 20th of next month. They are scheduled to hold a large-scale free concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul the day after the release, on March 21st.
