‘If opposition leader knew, how could PM not know?’

Opposition leader Yair Lapid published a 12-page response document to the document published by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the October 7 failure. In the document, Lapid accuses Netanyahu of being “the father of all failures,” in light of a “consistent and destructive policy” of weakening the Palestinian Authority and strengthening Hamas. Lapid claimed in his response that he was briefed on intelligence materials in August 2023, during a security briefing at Netanyahu’s office: “If the opposition leader knew, how can the prime minister claim he didn’t know?”
