The latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer fixes a major Marvel Cinematic Universe problem by doing exactly what fans have been asking to see from the franchise in the last five years and showing how much potential is in that. Avengers: Doomsday’s cast is expected to feature many surprises that Marvel has yet to reveal. Rumors range from Tobey Maguire to Hugh Jackman and many more appearing.

Thankfully, after a long period with little to no updates, Marvel released the first four Avengers: Doomsday teasers in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash. The move was successful, resulting in millions of views across social media. New story details from the next Avengers movie have been teased, and the latest trailer to be unveiled touches on what fans had been asking for.

Avengers: Doomsday’s Latest Trailer Reveals A Major Crossover

Marvel did not release a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer at the Super Bowl, passing on the opportunity to release the movie’s first full trailer at one of 2026’s biggest events. At this point, the MCU’s latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer was the one focused on the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, and Namor with his people. That Avengers movie trailer dropped online on January 13.

The latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer was the first to showcase a crossover between characters that had yet to meet. In the first teaser, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers returned with a baby. In the second, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor prayed to Odin to return safely to his adoptive daughter, Love. On the third, three members of Fox’s X-Men returned in live-action.

The fourth Avengers: Doomsday teaser was the first to finally merge different characters that had yet to interact onscreen. That came in the meeting between Winston Duke’s M’Baku, who has appeared in Black Panther and Avengers movies, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing, who debuted in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. That is only the first of many new MCU crossovers.

Avengers: Doomsday Is All About Different Characters Coming Together

While M’Baku andThe Thing are not the first characters I would have wanted to see interacting, that team-up was the perfect way of showcasing the potential Avengers: Doomsday has. After all, if seeing a Fantastic Four hero meet a character on the smaller side in terms of the whole MCU was so exciting, team-ups like Reed Richards and Shuri, Cyclops and Steve Rogers, and more should be even better.

Without an Avengers movie thus far, the Multiverse Saga has introduced several new heroes but kept most of them secluded from the rest of the franchise. Avengers: Doomsday is coming to end that, allowing old and new MCU characters to come together with some crossovers no one would even expect. Marvel’s latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer confirms the potential of uniting Multiverse Saga heroes with franchise veterans.
