Fallen Tear: The Ascension, the story-driven, hand-animated sidescrolling Metroidvania from developer Winter Crew and publisher CMD Studios, dashes onto PC via Steam with a brand-new demo available now in the lead up to Steam Next Fest, taking place Monday, Feb. 23, through Monday, March 2, 2026.

Slash, dodge, and parry incoming attacks as Hira explores a never-before-seen area of Raoah in this new demo. Meet new NPCs and forge friendships with additional allies to harness their abilities in both combat and traversal with the ally assist-focused Fated Bonds system.

The new Steam Next Fest demo for Fallen Tear: The Ascension is available now on PC via Steam.

Journey through the high fantasy land of Raoah, where quaint townspeople spend their days, but god-like entities loom overhead. Discover lush forests, dry deserts, and lively villages as Hira, a plucky monster hunter with a mysterious past which places him face-to-face with towering gods.

Watch as Raoah’s expansive map transforms in response to Hira’s actions. Seek refuge from an ever-changing world in the updated Temple of Oras hub. Tackle menacing bosses with improved behavior and attack patterns, and prove Hira’s strength in the new boss challenge mode.

Would Fallen Tear: The Ascension’s demo launch be a good new item to share with your readers?
