In advance of the national election, as part of the Israeli Jewish left’s recovery from the shock of recent years, it is facing two thought-provoking initiatives. One is the talk of the return of the Arab Joint List, and the other is the support by hundreds of outstanding figures on the left for the establishment of a new Arab-Jewish political party in an announcement published in Haaretz on January 23.
