It is not easy to undertake reforms in Israel. Take dairy reform. Interest groups are doing everything they can to block it, the Knesset legal adviser is trying to stifle it and the media have adopted a populist stand that is undermining the effort. As vested interests, the dairy farmers’ opposition is to be expected. But why are the media and the attorney general joining forces with them?
