Reports say that Kerry Godliman and Nina Singh will be the new leads in ITV’s reboot of Dalziel & Pascoe.
The Sun says that, “the series will see the former character of Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel become Detective Inspector Andrea Dalziel, played by Godliman, who’s previously appeared in other dramas including Trigger Point and After Life.
“Meanwhile, the character of Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe will be reborn as Detective Sergeant Paige Pascoe, played by Singh, who’s previously appeared in Art Detectives and Virdee.”
Godliman said: “I’m so chuffed to be playing the assertively charming Detective Inspector Andrea Dalziel.
“It’s a juicy role as she’s such an interesting personality – accomplished at her job, warm, but also direct to the point of being abrasive. Weary and warm-hearted. Lots to get my teeth into!
“I’m looking forward to working with the team at West Road Pictures, ITV and BritBox as we reimagine Dalziel and Pascoe to a new audience.”
