The IDF, with direction from the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), concluded a broad counterterrorism operation across 12 villages along the seam line in the Menashe Brigade sector, the military confirmed on Wednesday.
During the operation, the IDF arrested multiple suspects affiliated with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and seized tens of thousands of shekels in alleged terror funds, the IDF said.Â
According to the military, troops from the Egoz commando unit and additional security forces detained several wanted Palestinians identified with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad based on Shin Bet intelligence cues.
Forces also questioned dozens of suspects over alleged involvement in terror activity, including smuggling Palestinians without permits into Israel.
In a parallel enforcement action in Barta’a, Civil Administration teams demolished three illegal buildings and seized dozens of stolen vehicles, officials said.
Additionally, forces operating overnight reported 23 arrests across the West Bank. In the Binyamin Brigade area, troops confiscated a Kalashnikov rifle, pistols, magazines, ammunition, and additional weapon parts.Â
An M-4–type rifle was seized in the Ephraim Brigade, and tens of thousands of shekels in suspected terror funds were confiscated in the Yehuda Brigade sector, the IDF said.
