The British Guardian published a scathing editorial against Israel, claiming that Netanyahu’s government is conducting a “campaign of ethnic cleansing” and that the measures approved in the Knesset regarding the annexation of Judea and Samaria are designed to “kill the idea of a Palestinian state.” The article quoted Defense Minister Israel Katz, who along with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel “will continue to kill the idea of a Palestinian state.” The paper also claimed that since October 2023, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in Judea and Samaria, “many of them children,” and simultaneously measures have been stepped up that facilitate the seizure of land and curtail the Palestinian Authority’s powers.
