UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa on the sidelines of the African Union summit, and “reaffirmed his commitment to ending the occupation and achieving a two-state solution.” According to the UN statement, the two discussed “the importance of solidifying the ceasefire in Gaza and supporting the Palestinian National Committee for the administration of the Strip (known as the technocrat government), alongside ensuring coherence and restoring unified Palestinian governance across all occupied Palestinian territory.”
