Battlefield 6 is gearing up for its second season, and Electronic Arts has revealed key updates coming with the Season 2, including progression improvements, weapon balance, and much more.

For weapons, recoil compensation will be fully consistent, providing more predictable handling. Player movement will also be improved, featuring updated acceleration, smoother vaulting, and better ladder transitions.

Besides these updates, Battlefield 6 Season 2 will introduce a new map called Contaminated and improved game audio for better clarity. The developers also shared upcoming gameplay improvements they are working on, including hit registration, a ping system for map locations, and more. A full Season Roadmap is expected to be revealed at the end of the week.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 is scheduled for release on February 17, 2026.
