After portraying intense characters in recent outings, Shahid revealed he deliberately chose lighter material before diving back into darker territory. He shared that he moved straight into a romantic space with ‘Cocktail 2’ soon after finishing ‘O’Romeo’.Speaking to Mid-Day about his packed schedule, he said, “I’ve already moved into something very different. I’m currently doing ‘Cocktail 2’, which is more into a light-hearted romantic space. In fact, I started shooting for ‘Cocktail’ almost immediately after wrapping ‘O’Romeo’, and I was even shooting for it during the promotions. Now that ‘O’Romeo’ has released I will begin shooting for ‘Farzi 2’, which I’m really excited about. I enjoy switching worlds, it helps reset you as an actor.”
More ambitious projects in the pipeline
Beyond ‘Farzi 2’, Shahid has reportedly been in discussions for several high-profile ventures. These include a collaboration with filmmaker Atlee, a historical biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and the mythological series ‘Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues’.
