Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin is clearing the air about bullying rumors. In an Instagram post shared on Monday, February 16, the 21-year-old Vanderbilt University student addressed speculation she was expelled from school due to bullying, calling the narrative “completely false.”

Sharing a screenshot of a comment she made on someone else’s Instagram post, Apple—whose dad is Coldplay musician Chris Martin—responded to the online buzz, writing, “Hi! I didn’t wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.” The aspiring singer added, “I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.”

Apple previously came under fire for bullying claims during her debut at Le Bal des Débutante in December 2024, which has introduced stars like Margaret Qualley, Lily Collins, Ava Philippe, and Lady Kitty Spencer into high society. At the time, a video circulated that appeared to show Apple crashing another debutante’s photoshoot during the glamorous soirée in Paris. However, Aliénor Loppin de Montmort revealed that the situation was a misunderstanding, telling People at the time, “[Apple’s] genuinely the nicest girl ever. She really doesn’t deserve an ounce of what she’s getting. She was the nicest girl ever towards not only me but all the debs.”

Martin revealed that she’s beginning to cast her attention to life after Vanderbilt, including dropping her law school aspirations in favor of following in mom Gwyneth Paltrow and grandmother Blythe Danner’s footsteps. “I was in that rebellious ‘I don’t wanna be like my parents’ type of phase,” Apple told Vogue.

However, the model hinted that she isn’t planning on taking after dad Chris Martin despite recently releasing her own song “Satellites” and an accompanying music video. Apple clarified, “I don’t wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying. I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act.”
