Israel’s athletes were back in action Monday at the Winter Olympics in Milan, with the bobsleigh duo of AJ Edelman and Menachem Chen, as well as skier Barnabas Szollos, competing in their respective events.

Szollos took to the slopes for the first run of the men’s slalom, a different discipline from the giant slalom in which he had already competed earlier in the Games.

He had an impressive two runs and finished 27th out of 46 competitors to complete the challenging course.

Meanwhile, Israel’s two-man bobsleigh team of Edelman and Chen completed their first two heats. The pair posted a combined time of 1:54.60 and currently sit in 26th place overall, last among the 26 teams in the competition.

They will return to the track tomorrow for the final two heats, which will determine the overall rankings.
