The Wild Medicine Walks can be enjoyed across Gloucestershire in Stroud, Cirencester, Cheltenham, and the Tetbury Trail.

Each of these walks will be led by Flora Scott, a medical herbalist, and participants can discover more about the medicinal plants and trees found in Gloucestershire.

They will also learn about their rich history and how they can be used today to support health.

Ms Scott said: ‘Many people who join me on walks are often surprised to learn that they frequently walk past powerful medicinal plants daily without even realising it. Others have gained newfound respect after learning about the health benefits of these plants that they once thought were merely weeds growing in their own gardens.’

‘I enjoy it when participants who join me on walks share their own stories of how they use plants to support their health, often revealing traditional uses passed on through many generations. It’s so important we keep these stories and traditional plant knowledge alive.’

The Wild Medicine Walks will cover around 15 different plants.

Those attending will be able to sample herbal preparations and receive guidance on how to safely identify plants.
