Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, and Hallow has announced new challenges to help adults, teens, and children navigate the season of prayer and penance.

For adults, Hallow returns with LentPray40 and its “The Return” challenge.

“Journey through ‘The Brothers Karamazov’ and the Parable of the Prodigal Son as we return to the Father this Lent. We’re all farther from God than we need to be, but the good news is He is always waiting with open arms, running out to meet us while we are still a long way off,” according to the challenge description. “To bring this Scripture to life like never before, we’ll turn to Dostoevsky’s famous novel. We’ll step into the lives of its characters and discover the ways their struggles and brokenness mirror our own. Together, we’ll let go of what holds us back, return home to the Lord, and let Him send us out as His hands and feet.”

Teenagers will be able to dive into “The 180” Lent challenge. Presented by Life Teen International, “The 180” will be led by Mark Hart, Sister Josephine, Father Frankie Cicero, and more.

“Designed for busy schedules, this challenge features short, 180-second sessions all designed to help you make a 180-degree turn towards Christ,” according to the event description. “Reflect on the daily Gospel readings, learn about the lives of the saints, and take on a new fasting challenge each week. This Lent, don’t just give something up – take a step closer to Christ every day.”

Children ages 6-12 are invited to join Hallow for the “Miracle Hunters” Lent challenge.

“Follow Mia, Paul, Brad, and Grace as they set out to discover the truth about miracles and how God is always at work in our lives. Throughout the series, families will meet new friends, dive into ‘Saints Alive’-style saint stories, hear inspiring vocation journeys, play games, pray together and enjoy episodes from the hit game show, ‘Holy Moly,’” according to the challenge description. “Together, we’ll see that even when miracles don’t happen the way we want or expect, God is still at work in His love for us.”

All challenges begin on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the opportunity to go back to missed sessions. To download the Hallow App from the Google Play or Apple Store, click here. It’s free to try for the first 90 days.
