Fans of country music star Lisa McHugh have been sending prayers her way after she recently revealed she has been hospitalized for days while battling a life-threatening infection.
McHugh’s latest update did provide some hope.
“My body is finally responding well to the treatment — infection markers are coming down each day and I’m really hoping to be home soon,” she wrote on Facebook. “It’s been a tough week health-wise, but the hardest part of all has been the guilt. This is at least the 6th time in the last 18 months I’ve had to suddenly disappear for days, sometimes weeks, without being able to explain anything to Milo. That part breaks my heart more than anything.
“Please keep my little babies at home in your prayers too,” she added. “Thank you for all the love, messages and support as always — it truly means so much. And roll on March 1st … my new year is starting then.”
Fans were quick to send love.
“Hope all goes well,” Cecilia Nan Burkhead Ward replied. “Prayers to you and your family.”
“Delighted to know you’re on the mend Lisa,” Mary Sheridan wrote. “Please God you will be home soon to see your family and get back to being their mum.”
“Praying for you and your baby’s,” Margaret O’Connell replied. “You’re in the best place for now.”
There were plenty more comments like that and you can see them as well as McHugh’s post here.
This all comes days after McHugh first revealed her health situation.
“Hi everyone, I’m so sorry to say that I won’t be able to perform tonight with @iamnathancarter at the @clanree_hotel, Letterkenny,” she wrote on Facebook. “I was admitted to the hospital a couple of days ago with sepsis, but I want to reassure everyone, that, I’m in the right place and receiving the best care and treatment to help get things under control. I just need to take a little bit of time to rest and recover, but I will be absolutely fine.
“I’m so disappointed to miss out on what was meant to be my first live show back, but, I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic night with Nathan as always!” she added. “I can’t wait to see you all very soon. Thank you for all your continued support and understanding – it truly means the world. Looks like my New Year is staring in March instead.”
