Baby elephants don’t do anything halfway. From the moment their feet hit the ground in the morning, they go full force, just like human toddlers. Their toys are giant-sized objects, but they find just as much joy in them as a dog does with a stuffed animal or a cat with a mouse toy.

Kaikai is an adorable baby elephant who is working hard to develop her little pachyderm personality and stand out among the others in the Nairobi Nursery. In a recent Instagram video shared by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Keeper Joseph gave us a front-row seat to her tire-loving antics, and we can’t get enough of her.

As seen in the video, little Kaikai is lying with her two front legs through the huge tire, relaxing on it like a kid floating on a donut-shaped pool float. She is as happy as a little clam and shows no signs of wanting to get up. Honestly, she gives off nap-ready-toddler vibes, and we’re here for it!

Sweet Reactions to Kaikai’s Play Session

Thanks to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, we have been introduced to numerous baby elephants over the years. Each of them has an individual personality, and as they get older, those traits show through in the most adorable ways.

Several followers left sweet (and a few funny) comments, and here are a few highlights:

“Tummy time with her boppy!”

“It’s so lovely to hear the keeper’s voice, describing as they’re filming. I love that! It definitely adds to the experience of watching what they are witnessing.”

“Everyone needs an emotional support tire.”

Toward the end of the video, the happy little elephant is lying on top of the tire, with half of her body in the center and her backside looking like a frog on a log. That must be why they call her a little frog, like Korbessa, another one of their rescued animals. Absolutely adorable!
