Ramallah – The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club made an announcement. Israeli occupation forces have arrested over 100 Palestinians in the West Bank. These arrests began with the start of the holy month of Ramadan. Detainees include women, children, and former prisoners.
The Prisoner’s Club issued a statement. It clarified that these arrest campaigns coincide with an occupation declaration. The occupation announced an increased pace of arrest operations. This increase also began at the start of Ramadan. Recent settler attacks served as the primary pretext. They facilitated widespread arrests across the West Bank.
The Club noted that arrests occurred in most West Bank governorates. This includes Jerusalem. Jerusalem sees extensive arrests during Ramadan. Most of these result in expulsion from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
