To mark Andalusia Day, on 26 February the Three Cultures Foundation is presenting a concert by flamenco guitarist Juan Medina from La Línea de la Concepción.

In this presentation of his new work, flamenco dialogues and merges with jazz, new soul and some world music. This is another way of demonstrating that flamenco, like Andalusia, embraces the rhythms of other cultures, creating a rich array of nuances and sounds.

Juan Medina is a flamenco guitarist and composer, renowned for his virtuosity and innovative approach to the genre. Over the years, he has continued to consolidate his career, remaining true to his unique and authentic style. In a career that began with Radio Macandé and then as a solo artist under the name Juanito Makandé, with countless concerts under his belt, he has been an influential figure in the evolution of contemporary flamenco.

Now he returns with his most personal project as Juan Medina, with his first album ‘Fugaz’, in which he presents a repertoire of his own songs in this new stage as a flamenco guitarist, alongside double bassist Gal Maestro and percussionist Poti Trujillo.

This flamenco and jazz band is made up of the following members:

Trumpet: Enriquito
Guitar: Juan Medina
Double bass: Gal Maestro
Percussion: Poti Trujillo
