A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms ended its first season on a high note, summoning 9.5M U.S. cross-platform viewers in three days, Warner Bros. Discovery said Thursday.
That’s up nearly 42% from the series premiere, which managed 6.7M U.S. cross-platform viewers in the same time frame.
The first season is currently averaging around 14M U.S. viewers and 26M global viewers per episode, ranking as the third-largest series debut since the launch of HBO Max, per WBD.
The series was renewed well ahead of its premiere, earning a Season 2 in November. It is set to return next year.
Set a century before the events of Game of Thrones and 72 years after House of the Dragon, A Knight of Seven Kingdom follows two unlikely heroes wandering Westeros … a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
Season 1 cast also includes Daniel Ings, Bertie Carvel, Danny Webb, Sam Spruell, Shaun Thomas, Finn Bennett, Edward Ashley, Tanzyn Crawford, Henry Ashton, Youssef Kerkour, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Daniel Monks.
