Some of the greatest shows worth binge-watching on Prime Video this weekend, February 27–March 1, 2026, include brand new releases, an upcoming modern classic, and an acclaimed breakout series that deserves more attention.

Last week, some of the best shows to binge on Prime Video included new reality content like The CEO Club, buried hidden gems like High School, and all-time classics like Psych. This week, these three short series were all designed to be binge-watched in just one weekend.

The Gray House

The Gray House is a new 8-part historical adventure series streaming now on Prime Video. Released on Thursday, February 26, The Gray House is set on the Underground Railroad during the US Civil War and follows four female railroad operatives who become spies.

Despite being a new release, The Gray House has flown under the radar on Prime Video during its opening weekend thus far. The series stars Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Paul Anderson, and more. If you’re a fan of historical fiction, check this one out.

Jury Duty

Before James Marsden became a key figure in Hulu’s acclaimed thriller series Paradise, he played an integral role in the prank docuseries Jury Duty, which originally aired on Prime Video’s free service, Freevee.

Jury Duty season 1 followed one unknown protagonist, Richard Gladden, who arrives for jury duty unaware that he is the only person there who is not a paid actor. Through 8 episodes, each 30 minutes or less, Richard is puzzled by the increasingly bizarre happenings and behaviors of his fellow “jurors” until the truth is revealed. Jury Duty returns for a second season on March 20.

Overcompensating

Overcompensating was one of the best new Prime Video series that debuted in 2025 and remains a must-watch for fans of comedy shows. The series adds a modern twist to the classic 90s teen comedy genre immortalized by movies like American Pie.

Overcompensating, which earned a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%, follows a football player named Benny who struggles to accept his sexuality. As a result, Benny overcompensates for his inauthentic connection to himself, trying to appear as something he’s not for the sake of fitting in.

The series follows Benny’s early college days and fast friendship with Carmen, a high school outcast, as they experience the hodgepodge of freshman year, juggling hookups, fake IDs, and cheap booze. Both thoughtful and hilarious, Overcompensating is one of the very best shows to binge-watch over the course of one weekend on Amazon Prime Video.
