BATON ROUGE, La. – Arizona posted a 195.000 to place fourth at the Purple and Gold Podium Challenge on Sunday behind No. 2 LSU (198.200), No. 3 Alabama (197.650), and North Carolina (195.950).
Floor Exercise
In the first rotation, Arizona scored a 48.300 on floor. Emma Strom led the way with a 9.900 and Elizabeth LaRusso followed with a. 9.825. Sophie Derr and Tirzah Wise both scored 9.80 on the event.
Vault
The GymCats earned a 48.775 on vault in rotation two. Ainsley Greever and Strom led the team with a pair of 9.775s while Derr and Abigayle Martin both scored 9.75. Jessa Janicka and LaRusso earned a pair of 9.725s.
Uneven Bars
Arizona scored a 48.950 on bars in the third rotation. Derr and Delaney Mead led the GymCats with 9.825s on bars. Aubrey Krohnfeldt anchored the rotation with a 9.80 and Martin posted a 9.775.
Balance Beam
The GymCats scored a 48.975 on beam to close out the meet. Janicke tied her career high on beam with a 9.80. Martin led Arizona with a 9.875 in the anchor spot while Gianna Lenczner and Wise both posted 9.775s.
