Adam Brody is back on the awards season trail tonight, with another nomination for his role in the Netflix comedy Nobody Wants This. Surprisingly not in attendance was his wife, Leighton Meester.
For the evening, Brody wore a custom Prada black mohair tuxedo with a bright yellow silk twill, Garrett Leight sunglasses, and a Cartier watch.

This year marks Brody’s second consecutive nomination for the Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards) for his role as the “hot rabbi” Noah on the starcrossed rom-com. Brody took home the win for the role at the Critics’ Choice Awards last year, dedicating the win to his wife. “My darling, darling, darling wife, Leighton. Thank you,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family. I love you with all my heart. Thank you so much.”
Brody’s on-screen paramour, Kristen Bell, is serving as host for the event, her third time as the evening’s emcee. Bell and Meester, of course, have a professional connection of their own, both having held major roles on the original Gossip Girl in the early 00s (Meester as Blair Waldorf, Bell voicing the titular gossip). The trio even came together on the most recent season of Nobody Wants This with Meester playing a former frenemy of Bell’s Joanna, bringing the former teen drama stars full circle.
“They’re such a loving couple with each other. There’s clearly so much affection between them,” said Justine Lupe, who plays Joanne’s sister Morgan, of watching Meester and Brody during filming. “It was very sweet to see the level of support that they each gave each other on set.”
