A ‘jellyfish’ effect formed over the skies of Brevard County briefly Sunday morning as a SpaceX rocket took off.
The launch occurred just before sunrise, at 6:53 a.m. Sept. 21. from Launch Complex 40 in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. As the sunlight hit the exhaust from the Falcon 9 rocket, the visual effect appeared in the dawn sky.
The mission, known as Starlink 10-27, was the latest batch of 28 internet-beaming Starlink satellites.
The next launch from Florida is set for no earlier than 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 from Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The mission is a suite of three solar science missions − including NASA’s IMAP mission.
