As we settle into March and another wave of new releases rolls in, now’s the ideal moment to catch up on what’s just landed. If Prime Video’s charts are anything to go by, viewers are leaning toward action-packed adventures and twisty storytelling this week, with more fast-paced dramas dominating the rankings. Clearly there’s an appetite for adrenaline-driven entertainment.
Of course, “Fallout” and “Cross” would easily earn a place on this list, especially with how great their second seasons are, but they’ve been holding strong near the top for weeks. Instead, we’re giving some love to the other shows climbing Prime Video’s top 10 that deserve their moment in the spotlight. To save you time, we’ve combed through the list and pulled out the titles actually worth watching.

Best shows in the Prime Video top 10‘The Gray House’
Any show or movie based on a true story already comes with a built-in hook: the knowledge that its events are inspired by something that actually happened. “The Gray House” clearly benefits from that draw, especially given its rapid climb into the top 10. What makes it even more compelling, though, is its classification as an “untold” story, one that hasn’t been widely known or fully explored.
Executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, and starring Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis and Ben Vereen, this historical drama is well worth exploring if you’re drawn to stories about the lives of history’s forgotten heroes.
“The Gray House” follows the true-inspired story of a group of women in Richmond, Virginia during the American Civil War who form an unlikely spy network inside Confederate territory. A Virginia socialite, her determined mother, a formerly enslaved ally and a controversial courtesan use their positions within Southern society to gather intelligence and covertly assist Union forces.
Across its eight episodes, the women transform their Underground Railroad activities into an effective espionage operation, risking lives and freedom to influence the course of the war.

‘56 Days’
56 Days – Official Trailer | Prime Video – YouTube

One of Prime Video’s latest compelling thrillers is “56 Days,” which has been holding strong in the No. 1 spot for a few days now. Billed by the streamer as “a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller,” this eight-episode series clearly has all of the right ingredients for an engaging binge-watch.
“56 Days” certainly thrives on the chemistry and tension between its leads, Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, while dropping enough hints to keep viewers hunting for answers. It does lean into melodrama and can get a bit over-the-top at times, but the unfolding mystery is so gripping you won’t be able to look away.

Fifty‑six days later, homicide detectives arrive at Oliver’s Boston apartment to find an unidentified decomposed body and launch an investigation.
The narrative alternates between the past timeline of the couple’s intense connection and the present investigation led by detectives Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) and Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick), as they work to uncover what happened.

To be upfront, you can only stream the first episode of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” for free on Prime Video, with the rest of the season available on its original home, Apple TV, or via an add-on subscription. It’s still worth including in this list, though, since season 2 has just dropped.
Watching the first episode gives you a solid sense of whether the series is worth diving into fully or whether it might be time to consider an Apple TV subscription to catch the rest. “Legacy of Monsters” is the perfect series for anyone who loves big-scale action and visually impressive monster appearances (including Kong and other Titans).
“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is set in the Monsterverse franchise and follows two siblings, Cate (Anna Sawai) and Kentaro Randa (Ren Watabe), as they investigate their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch, which studies giant creatures called Titans, including Godzilla and others.
Their search for answers leads them deep into Monarch’s operations and brings them into contact with Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell at different ages) across multiple time periods. The narrative moves between the 1950s and the present day, with each generation uncovering more about the mysterious world of Monarch.
