Prince William apparently doesn’t want his uncle Andrew Mountbatten Windsor‘s ongoing scandal to linger while he is in power.

In an article published Thursday, March 5, royal biographer Andrew Lownie told People as part of the outlet’s cover story that following Andrew’s arrest on February 19, the Prince of Wales, 43, “wants it all cleaned out before he gets [on the throne].”

“He wants it dealt with now,” Lownie further claimed.

As Star previously reported, Andrew — who was stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles III in 2025 — was taken into police custody on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office due to communication he had with Jeffrey Epstein when he worked as a trade envoy.
