Siena fell to No. 13 Harvard, 19-5, on Sunday morning in Cambridge, MA. The Saints converted two penalty shots but were unable to overcome an early deficit created by the Crimson.

Quincy Frommelt led Siena with two goals on two shots, finishing with a perfect shooting mark. Rebecca Currie added two sprint wins to help the Saints gain possession, while Catherine Williamson recorded a goal and matched Currie with two sprint victories. Ava Pawlik also scored, converting her lone shot of the contest.

Harvard set the tone early, jumping out to a 6-0 lead by the end of the first quarter behind two goals from Sofia Del Villar. The Crimson continued to build their advantage in the second quarter, as Maya O’Dea converted a penalty shot to make it 8-0.

Siena broke through in the third quarter when Frommelt converted a penalty shot for the Saints’ first goal. Harvard answered quickly with another strike from Del Villar, pushing the lead to 11-2. Pawlik later added a goal in the period, but Harvard’s offense continued to produce as the Crimson pulled away for the 19-5 final.

Siena will return to action on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. against LIU for the MAAC opener at the Villanova Swim Complex in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
