For decades, Demi Moore has been known for her sleek long hair — and her unwillingness to cut it. “I remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldn’t have long hair,” the 63-year-old said a few years ago. “And something about that stuck with me. Like, who says? It made me feel like, well, if it can grow, and it’s not unhealthy, then why shouldn’t we?”

So her transformation at the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week was about more than her wet-look lob, which accentuated the Oscar nominee’s cheekbones. “A bold, beautiful new chapter begins,” she captioned pics showcasing her haircut on Instagram, also nodding to Gucci’s new creative director, Demna. The updated ’do was created by celeb stylist Dimitris Giannetos, who dubbed it the “Demi-tris BoB.” In a statement, he said, “I wanted to give Demi a very bold and fashion-forward look,” adding, “It’s a big change for Demi — we’ve never seen her like this before! She looks very cool, effortless and modern. And it highlights her personality,” according to People.
Though Moore has since credited the change to seemingly wearing a wig, per Page Six, “It feels good to embrace a new look,” says an insider. “Demi loves how it turned out and all the compliments and attention she’s getting.”
