The median age of cases is 9 years. The 3 most affected age groups are infants under one year old (32%), children aged 1-4 years (18%) and adults aged 20-24 years (18%).

Among the subjects targeted by vaccination (aged over one year and born since 1980), for whom vaccination status was known (n=12), 9 (75%) were unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated, 3 (25%) were vaccinated with two doses.

Thirteen departments in France (13%) reported at least one case during the period. No cases were reported in the overseas territories. The five departments with the highest number of reported cases are: Paris (18%), Essonne (18%), Hauts-de-Seine (18%), Savoie (11%), and Bouches-du-Rhône (7%).

During this period, 5 clusters of cases (groups of epidemiologically linked cases) were reported to the Regional Health Agencies (ARS) (provisional, unconsolidated data) for a total of 15 cases. Among them, one cluster in a daycare center involved 5 or more cases and is still active.
