New images from One Piece season 2 reveal its live-action version of Loguetown, confirming an anime-accurate portrayal of the important location. One Piece season 2 will begin by finishing the East Blue Saga from the manga created by Eiichiro Oda. This means the Loguetown Arc will open the show as the Straw Hats prepare to enter the Grand Line.
Now, IGN has released new images from One Piece season 2, showcasing important locations from Loguetown. This includes Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji standing in the town square, as well as the group dealing with Buggy’s carnival. Luffy can also be seen looking at the wooden platform where Gol D. Roger was executed. Check out the images below:
What One Piece Season 2’s New Images Mean For The Show’s Return
Emily Rudd as Nami in season 1 of One Piece
One Piece season 1 ended by confirming Loguetown as the next big location for the show. This included a scene confirming the debut of Smoker, a powerful leader of the Marines who rules over the island to deter pirates from entering the Grand Line. Luffy and his crew will arrive there to gather supplies ahead of their journey.
Much like in the manga and anime, it seems the characters in One Piece will all have their own individual storylines play out as they explore Loguetown. This includes Luffy trying to climb to the top of the platform where Gol D. Roger delivered his speech about the titular hidden treasure. It’s likely everyone’s storylines will remain the same too.
Loguetown will also feature the return of Buggy, the clown pirate who Luffy fought and defeated in season 1. If his arrival mirrors the manga, then he’ll prove more threatening than the last time he was seen thanks to a new ally. As for the rest of the adventure, it seems it’ll play out like the source material.
Our Take On One Piece Season 2’s New Images Of Loguetown
Luffy in One Piece live-action
The new images of Loguetown are a good sign for how much the live-action series is going to look and feel like the manga. It’s also been confirmed new characters like Tashigi will debut during these episodes too, further emphasizing accuracy to the source material. These images bolster just how much the show will adhere to the original story.
Loguetown is but the start of One Piece season 2’s core journey, which will take the Straw Hats across the Grand Line into their first major saga within its islands. The events during their final stretch in the East Blue is just the setup for the bigger adventure they’ll be embarking upon once they arrive at their fated destination.
