After a senior Iranian lawmaker stated on Saturday that Ukraine had become a party to the war between the U.S. and Israel and the Islamic Republic, Ukrainian ambassador to Israel told i24NEWS that Kyiv was unphased by the provocative statement and prepared to stand by Israel’s side.
“By providing drone support to Israel, Ukraine has become a legitimate target for Iran,” Ebrahim Azizi wrote on X.
“Unfortunately, we have complicated relations with Iran, also due to the supply of Iranian drones and military technology to Russia,” Yevgen Korniychuk told i24NEWS.
“We are not afraid of this threat from Iran and we are ready to support our partners as much as necessary, including Israel. We have already received requests for cooperation from four Gulf countries. We also communicate quite effectively with Israel and hope to further develop these relationships.
