Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel took a conciliatory tone in his return to TV Tuesday night, saying “it was never my intention to make light of the death of a young man.”
“For those who think I did point a finger at them, I get why you’re upset,” the host said, choking up as he spoke. He called the killer of political activist Charlie Kirk “sick” and said the willingness of Kirk’s widow Erika to forgive the assassin was a “example we should follow.”
