As we reported earlier this year, the Fox’s popular singing competition series The Masked Singer is has a speical “Star Trek Night” episode arriving tonight, March 18. TrekMovie now has an exclusive clip from the TOS-themed opening of the episode.

The fourteenth season of The Masked Singer has been celebrating “fan-favorite worlds,” and tonight’s theme is Star Trek, honoring the 60th anniversary of the franchise.

Themed performances
The full episode is themed around Star Trek, with the audience populated with the the LA Away Team cosplayers. And the theming will also flow into the song selections. Earlier today Fox teased the space-themed selections.
The 14 Karat Carrot will sing Earth, Wind, & Fire’s “Shining Star.” The Cat Witch will sing Nicki Minaj’s “Starships.” Stingray is singing The Weekend’s “Starboy.” And finally, Galaxy Girl is singing Ellie Goulding’s “Lights.”

According to Fox, the “Star Trek Night” episode will be special as it will include a double unmasking when two celebrities reveal their identities.
The four celebrity panelist judges of the show are also cosplaying for “Star Trek Night.” Robin Thicke is dressed as Captain Pike from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg is dressed as Yeoman Janice Rand from Star Trek: The Original Series. Panelist Rita Ora is dressed as Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager. And Ken Jeong is dressed as Mr. Spock, complete with wig, pointed ears, and a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds costume.
