Carrie’s Crispies, which makes and sells a variety of Rice Krispie treats at its West Allis storefront, plans to expand by moving to a larger location.

The business, owned by Carrie and Brian Cieslak, was established in 2015, and they opened their brick-and-mortar location at 7133 W. Becher St. in West Allis in 2020.

Now they plan to move the business to a larger location in West Allis at 8801 W. National Ave., a vacant building that was most recently used as a dental office. They plan to renovate the building and install a small-scale commercial kitchen for the production of Rice Krispie treats. They also plan to update the exterior with paint and artwork that aligns with the branding of the business.

Carrie’s Crispies sells more than 40 different varieties of its treats.

The plans will be reviewed by the West Allis Plan Commission next week.

Carrie’s Crispies plans to begin work on the building this summer and complete the move in the fall.
