Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors received an encouraging update on Stephen Curry following his latest re-evaluation as he continues to recover from a right knee injury.

According to the team, Curry is making “good progress” after missing the last 20 games due to patella-femoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in his right knee.

The update marks a significant step forward in Curry’s recovery, with the Warriors confirming that the star guard has intensified his individual on-court workouts.

Golden State Outlines Next Steps for Stephen Curry’s Return

Curry’s progression is now entering a more advanced phase.

The Warriors indicated that the next step in his recovery will involve participation in live action and team practices in the coming days — a notable development that suggests his return timeline could be nearing.

He will be re-evaluated again after the team returns home next week.

Curry last played on January 30 against the Detroit Pistons and is averaging a team-leading 27.2 points per game this season.

Warriors Struggling Without Stephen Curry

Golden State’s struggles have intensified during Curry’s absence.

The Warriors are 6-14 since Curry went down with the injury and have lost seven of their last eight games, a stretch that has significantly impacted their momentum.

They have also dropped from the No. 7 seed to No. 10 in the Western Conference standings and now trail the Los Angeles Clippers by one game for the No. 9 seed.

With just 12 games remaining before the play-in tournament, the margin for error continues to shrink.

Road Trip Timeline Adds Context to Curry’s Potential Return

Golden State is nearing the end of a critical six-game road trip.

The Warriors have two games remaining on the trip, including Saturday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, before concluding it in Dallas on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks.

The timeline could prove significant in Curry’s recovery, as the team prepares to return home following the trip.

Report Suggests Stephen Curry Return Could Be Near

According to Tim Kawakami of the San Francisco Standard, there is a growing belief that Curry’s return could come as soon as the Warriors’ next home game.

Kawakami reported on March 16 that Curry appeared physically and mentally ready during a recent workout at Chase Center.

“Let me note here that Curry definitely seems to be feeling good about a return from his frustrating bout of ‘runner’s knee,’” Kawakami wrote. “I saw him in the Chase Center locker room a few days back after a workout, and he looked dead-eye serious, like he was about to play Game 1 of the NBA Finals.”

Kawakami added that, barring any setbacks, Curry could return when Golden State hosts the Brooklyn Nets next week.

“Unless there’s some new setback, Curry’s coming back, maybe by the game against the Nets on March 25, when the Warriors get back home,” Kawakami wrote.

Stephen Curry’s Return Critical to Golden State’s Playoff Push

Curry’s absence has exposed challenges in Golden State’s offensive execution and late-game consistency.

His return would provide an immediate boost as the Warriors attempt to stabilize their position in the standings and secure a spot in the postseason.

The team continues to take a cautious approach, prioritizing Curry’s long-term health while balancing the urgency of the playoff race.

Golden State Awaits Next Evaluation as Timeline Develops

While no official return date has been set, Curry’s progression toward live action and team practices signals that a comeback could be nearing.

The upcoming re-evaluation after the road trip will provide further clarity on his availability.

For now, the Warriors remain focused on managing Curry’s recovery as they navigate a critical stretch of the season — one that could ultimately be defined by his return to the lineup.
