OnePlus has introduced the Magnetic Ice Cooling Clip, touted as the world’s thinnest magnetic smartphone cooler. The company unveiled the product during the OnePlus 15T launch event. The device is priced at 179 yuan (~$26) and aims to provide efficient cooling in a lightweight, compact design.
OnePlus Magnetic Cooling Clip Specifications
The Magnetic Ice Cooling Clip features a slim power bank-like design with a thickness of 9.8mm at its thinnest point and weighs just 68 grams. The dimensions measure 87.6 x 62 x 9.8mm, with some structural variations reaching up to 11.9mm.
OnePlus has equipped the cooler with advanced internal components for efficient thermal management. The cooling system includes a thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module, a curved progressive air duct, and a pressurized low-noise centrifugal fan. The curved air duct design ensures that cool air enters from the top, while hot air exits from the side, keeping the user’s hands comfortable during extended use.
The cooler features a dual-mode cooling system, allowing users to switch between silent mode for reduced noise during tasks like streaming and photography, and performance mode for maximum cooling during gaming and heavy workloads. It operates at 36dB in performance mode and 22dB in silent mode.
The cooler attaches magnetically and works with both Android and iPhone devices, with a magnetic force rated up to 10N for a secure connection. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity for advanced tuning through ColorOS X mode.
The device operates via a USB Type-C connection with a maximum power input of 5V/3A. OnePlus used durable PC and aluminum alloy materials to build the cooler, which also features an indicator light system.
