Wetness on the court inside American Airlines Center coincided with Moses Moody’s ruptured left patellar tendon.

Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of his eponymous podcast, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said he and the Dallas Mavericks noted the court was wet during their Monday matchup. The Warriors’ Moody slipped while attempting to dunk after stealing the basketball from Cooper Flagg late in overtime and suffered his season-ending injury.

“If you look after the play, a lot of guys are standing there talking and what guys are saying is like, ‘Man, we kept telling them the floor is wet.’ … Because we thought (Moody) slipped,” Green said. “You see him going full speed, you see him take off — we thought he slipped. You obviously go back and look at the replay, didn’t slip. So, we’re all just standing there like, ‘Man.’ It’s one thing to see a guy get hurt but it’s a different thing when you see a guy get hurt caused by a wet spot on the floor.

“We all thought he slipped,” Green continued. “He didn’t slip. He went to go up, and it just gave out. … But that’s what the dialogue was about. We kept telling them, ‘The floor is wet.’”

A homegrown swingman nearing the end of the most productive season of his five-year career, Moody is facing months of rehab with surgery scheduled for sometime this week. Part of Moody’s 2026-27 season is presumably at jeopardy — along with that for Warriors forward Jimmy Butler, who tore his right ACL in January.

“Moses does everything right as a professional,” Green said. “Puts in all the work. Doesn’t complain about anything. Is never late. Never an issue. He’s a coach’s dream. He’s a teammate’s dream. He’s an organization’s dream. To see him get hurt after coming from a 10-game absence — it’s just unfortunate.”

Yurtseven signs second 10-day deal: The Warriors signed center Omer Yurtseven to a second 10-day contract Wednesday, they announced. Yurtseven, 27, signed his first 10-day deal March 16 — logging 3.2 points and 11.2 minutes in five games for Golden State.
