Sony has confirmed US pricing and availability for its new Bravia 3 II television range, which includes support for both Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit alongside Google TV.
The Bravia 3 II series sits towards the more affordable end of Sony’s TV line-up, offering direct-lit 4K LED LCD panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The range spans seven sizes, from 43″ through to 100″, covering 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″, 85″, and 100″ models.
All models use Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1, paired with XR Triluminos Pro for improved colour reproduction, and support a range of HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HLG. Motion handling is supported by Motionflow XR, with variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode included via HDMI 2.1 for gaming use.
Connectivity is consistent across the range, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, USB ports for media playback, Ethernet, dual band WiFi, and Bluetooth. Audio support includes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with Sony’s X-Balanced speaker design used on selected sizes to improve clarity without increasing cabinet size.
As with recent Sony models, the Bravia 3 II integrates Google TV as the primary smart platform, now with Gemini integration. For us Apple Home users, AirPlay 2 allows wireless streaming from iPhone, iPad, or Mac, while Apple Home support enables the TVs to be added to the Apple Home app for basic controls and to be included in scenes and automations.
US pricing starts at US$599.99 for the 43” model, with incremental increases through most sizes before a larger jump at the top end of the range. Pricing is as follows: 50″ at US$699.99, 55″ at US$799.99, 65″ at US$899.99, 75-inch at US$999.99, 85-inch at US$1,599.99, and 100-inch at US$3,099.99.
Pre-orders in the US are set to open on April 6, with shipping expected to begin in May.
