Out again for Friday’s matchup with the Washington Wizards at Chase Center, Curry was evaluated again and “continues to make good progress,” the Warriors announced. There isn’t a set return-to-play date for the ailing 17th-year guard, who is expected to work toward a five-on-five scrimmage in the coming days, the team announced. Curry is due for another evaluation this coming week and is set to miss Sunday’s matchup with the Denver Nuggets — meaning he’ll miss at least 25 consecutive games.

Golden State then hosts the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

Curry hasn’t played since Jan. 30, when he left the third quarter of a loss to the Detroit Pistons with right kneecap soreness. The pain for Curry emerged Jan. 24 during a workout in Minneapolis. He played through it for three games before his lengthy shutdown. Speaking pregame Friday night, head coach Steve Kerr indicated there isn’t a target date for Curry to scrimmage.

“We’re not bringing him back for … (just) the play-in game,” Kerr said. “He needs to play some games and we need to give him a runway if this is going to work and we are running out of games. That’s fair to see. He’s still working. (Vice president of player health and performance) Rick (Celebrini) is working with him with the mind set that he will be back.”

Kerr said Curry, ever the competitor, has “at times been frustrated” by his sore knee.

“This matters to him so much,” Kerr said. “He loves the game so much. He loves the process of preparing for the games. It means a lot to him, so you can see the emotion. We’re all really so lucky to have him just because it’s great for the other guys to see how much it means to him.”

Additionally, center Al Horford’s right calf strain is making “good progress,” the team announced. The 19th-year big man — out an eighth straight game Friday — has also started on-court workouts with another evaluation due next Friday. Seth Curry, out an eighth straight game Friday, is day-to-day with his left adductor strain though he has returned to scrimmaging and on-court workouts.

Quinten Post (right foot soreness) missed his third straight game Friday and is day-to-day.
