Xavier Samuel (Send Help, Twilight: Eclipse) has joined the cast of Bishop, Prime Video‘s upcoming thriller drama series from co-creators Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, Vertigo, and Amazon MGM Studios.
In Bishop, homicide detective Bishop Graves (Joel Kinnaman) – brilliant, battle-scarred – will put all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco’s moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to SF’s most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves (John Malkovich).
Samuel will play Anthony ‘Ant’ Graves, Bishop Graves younger brother.
The cast also includes Jennifer Jason Leigh as Jillian Graves, Lincoln Graves’ sister, and aunt to Bishop Graves; Jordana Brewster as Kat Claiborne, a seasoned inspector at the San Francisco Police Department; and Harry Treadaway as Wyatt.
Little Marvin serves as the showrunner of Bishop, which he and Saltzman executive produce alongside Roy Lee and Vertigo’s Miri Yoon. The project stems from Little Marvin’s overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios. Felicia Fasano is the casting director.
Most recently, Samuel appeared in AMC’s The Last Anniversary, the Disney+ miniseries The Stolen Girl, and Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar. His additional TV and film credits include Blonde, Disney+’s The Clearing, Elvis, Prime Video’s Tell Me Your Secrets, and Love and Friendship. Samuel is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360, Shanahan Management (AUS), and Independent Talent (UK).
